Intelligent Information Cannot Arise from Non-Intelligent Causes
It is a fundamental principle in information science that information which has meaning to intelligent beings cannot arise from non-intelligent sources. That is logically impossible.
The SETI Project
The huge “Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence” (SETI) project is based on the fact that only intelligent beings can produce meaningful intelligent information.
“SETI is listening for signs of technology, representing ntelligent life, by looking for radio waves and laser signals in the universe that couldn’t have been created by natural sources.”
That leaves us with another great mystery. The gene code of even the simplest known living organisms has much meaningful information.
Human DNA is a vastly complex code, consisting of over 3 billion bits of intelligent information. Human DNA is capable of containing the blueprint for the human being. A blueprint for an entire civilization of humans is contained in a single pair of male and female DNA molecules.
Data Compression is a technology that was developed by computer scientists for storage of information in the least amount of computer memory. Most readers are familiar with some of these technologies from their experiences with computers. One well known compression method is called “Zip” file format.
But the information is encoded in DNA is in a far more compact form than any data compression technology ever devised by computer scientists.
Think about the amount of intelligent information contained in this single molecure. Every one of the billions of cells in your body has a detailed program of instructions in its DNA molecule. The vast amount of information in the gene code is just beginning to be understood.
Conclusion
Scientists have no idea how the vast amount of intelligent information in the gene code originated without an intelligent cause.
